Causeway Sponsors Schools Football Champions
Causeway, a leading supplier of software and online solutions to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry, is delighted to announce that John Hampden Grammar School football team has been crowned Champions of England in the final of the English Schools’ Football Association championship.
The Year 9 team won the Cup after 10 rounds, winning the tense final match against Lancaster School at Yeovil Town’s Huish Park stadium. They were presented with their trophy by Chair of Wycombe Wanderers, Ivor Beeks in front of a capacity crowd during the Wanderers’ play-off fixture against Stockport County. The John Hampden team travels to Glasgow at the end of this month to represent England against the national champions from the rest of the UK. Headmaster, Steve Nokes commented, “We greatly value Causeway’s generous support. The Glasgow trip in particular would be too costly for us to attend without the company’s help.”
Commenting on their victory, Causeway’s CEO, Phil Brown said, “It’s a fantastic achievement and the boys have all worked really hard to achieve it. Causeway is immensely proud of them and of our association with the school.”
The school’s team members are Matt Ingram, Tom Coleman, Jake Collier, Dan Brennan, Alex Jansons, Darius Beeks, Liam Ansell, Adam Thomas, Isaac Osei-Tutu, Sam Tomkins, Mandeep Sangha, Christian Craft, Kristian Fuzi, Jamie McGhee, Adam Milligan and Luke Toudup. Coaches: Greg Boult and Steve Vanstone.
