The Causeway Scaffold Management Suite is a market leading suite of software designed for Scaffolding and Formwork contractors and hire companies.  The easy to use multi-depot stock, hire and sales and contracting software is designed for businesses specifically engaged in hire and sales and/or the provision of contracting services relating to scaffolding, access, formwork, falsework, trenching & shoring.

In their activities, scaffolding and formwork contractors provide a combination of equipment, people and services as a solution to their customers, and as such require a specialist solution to manage these resources. The Causeway Suite provides a contracting business with all the tools to manage costs around equipment and labour, accurately bill based on utilisation of those resources which includes the ability to capture charges for extra hire.

A key component of the Causeway system is the integrated asset management that caters for the special nature of scaffolding, access and formwork equipment, managing items that are stocked and hired in lengths (and potentially returned to stockholding in adjusted lengths), composite lengths (i.e. fencing) or items that are made up of many components such as alloy towers, staircases, drag boxes and trenching systems.

The Suite comprises :

Nominal Ledger

The account hierarchy structure facilitates segregation of revenue, associated costs and both capital investment and liability in a manner that separate revenue streams (eg., hire, sale & contracting) can either be viewed on their own or consolidated.  A separate departmental hierarchy allows analysis of the above dimensions across an infrastructure of locations such as regions and depots.  The system can be configured to treat separate parts of the business as separate legal entities (eg., separate contracting from hire) whilst maintaining the ease of  operational use by allowing say one invoice to be part analysed to an asset and part to a speculative contract.

Contract Costing Ledger

The Contract costing module provides an organisational contract hierarchy, a resource based cost and revenue structure and an activity structure that allows interrogation and reporting along several non-conflicting lines.

Contract Invoicing

This multi-depot contract invoicing module is designed to deal with

  • Contract scaffold items – Erect, Dismantle, Adapt, Expenses  & Extra Hire
  • Housing Plots – billed on a predefined stage basis
  • Call Off of a pre-scheduled measure

Purchase Ordering

Integrated purchase order management from requisitioning through to order placement, GRN entry, invoice matching and ultimately supplier and resource spend analysis.

Logical requisition with approval procedure combining visibility of best supplier and their history in a value add step based procedure through to supplier remittance generation.

Stock Control / Hire & Sales

It is a multi-depot stock control system that has been specifically developed to deal with the nuances associated with scaffold/formwork stock ie., Scaffold Tube, Aluminium Towers, Lifting Hooks (Inspection), Temporary Fencing, Acrow Props, Rubbish Chutes. On top of this there is a full hire and sales order processing system that allows the generation of professional quotes, conversion to contract, load list, delivery tickets, collecvtion notes, yard checkers sheets, return confirmation, damage, loss, hire and sales invoicing and costing in an internal contracting environment.

Payroll

The payroll is a flexible module that caters for a variety of configuration of it’s statutory and functional requirements. Deals with both timesheet and salaried employees and complies with HMRC electronic submission requirements.

Debtors & Contract Sales

In a traditional hire and sales order processing environment there is full credit control of the customer in terms of debt, value of equipment at risk and elapsed hire. In a contracting environment there is full visibility of payment profile against billing which feeds cash flow expectations on the contract.

Creditors & Sub-Contractors

Full control of status of transactions from registration through to payment. Intelligent automatic payment processing and electronic payments.
