The Virgin STRIVE Challenge 2016 aims to raise £1.5m for Big Change, a social impact accelerator that helps young people thrive in life, not just exams. The 2016 event begins where the 2014 event finished – at the base of the Matterhorn – and will see the ‘Strivers’ hiking, cycling and swimming their way to the summit of Mount Etna.

All of the core participants in the event will be using Causeway Mobile trackers. These will allow their progress in each leg to be tracked in real-time and displayed on the Live Tracking Web application at http://bigchange.strivechallenge.com/tracker/. Experience from previous events shows that enabling friends, families and supporters to monitor the progress of the athletes results in increased donations to the charity.

The challenge will start on 2nd September 2016 in Switzerland and will finish on the 29th September 2016 in Sicily, meaning a total of 28 days with four built-in rest days.

Tracking and live location data are the essentials behind the Causeway Telematics solution for advanced tracking of vehicles, workers and company assets. Using Telematics improves fleet management, safeguards lone workers and protects vulnerable company assets.

Telematics offers companies an array of cost savings, including reduced fuel costs due to advance planning of journeys, increased daily job completion and full protection against vehicle theft and unauthorised usage resulting in reduced insurance premiums.
