Causeway is not only sponsoring the Dallaglio Cycle Slam but three Directors are donning their lycra to cycle over 1200 km in support of Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation. The Cycle Slam, led by rugby legend, Lawrence Dallaglio starts in Rome on February 12th and ends at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium a month later, cycling over 2800 km including stops at all of the 6 nations stadia and raising £1million in the process. All funds raised are being split between Sport Relief, Cancer Research, DebRA, Help for Heroes, PRA Benevolent Fund and Leukaemia Research.

Phil Brown, CEO and Peter Nagle, Chairman, will be joining Lawrence for two stages – the first 679km stage from Rome to Nice and joining the riders again for 549 km for the final stage from Rosslare to Edinburgh. Paul Madeira, COO Middle East is cycling between Paris Stade de France and Twickenham, planning to enter the stadium prior to kick off.

“We are delighted to help Lawrence part of the way on his challenge to ride the 6 Nations grounds from Rome to Edinburgh. This challenge will raise lots of money for very worthy charities and underlines our commitment to the community which we take seriously as a company. It will be a challenge to complete the stages in the timescales set but we are looking forward to being part of this very exciting project.” -- Phil Brown, CEO of Causeway

Causeway has donated £50,000 towards the cycle slam by sponsoring the event and are looking to match this from colleagues, customers, business partners and industry associations.

“I am delighted that Team Causeway, Peter, Phil and Paul, are joining me on the cycle slam. Causeway is one of our main sponsors and it's great to be working with them to raise money for people less fortunate than ourselves. Please support the lads as best you can - it will be appreciated” -- Lawrence Dallaglio
