The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has purchased additional licenses of Causeway’s CATO Cost & Programme Management software suite for use in construction courses at the University of Mauritius.

This is the result of a recent expansion of the collaboration between UCLan and UOM Enterprise, the latter being a charitable trust set up by the University of Mauritius. This will see a range of UCLan courses being delivered in Mauritius, including bachelor degrees in building surveying and quantity surveying and a master’s degree in construction project management.

Causeway’s CATO suite, already being used in quantity surveying courses at UCLan, will now also be used to educate students in the use of specialist construction software for quantity surveying. Familiarity with CATO will also help students gain good positions following graduation, as this is the cost and programme management software that is most favoured by the leading quantity surveying consultancies.
