In a move to further reduce their environmental impact and increase the operational efficiencies of their field-based staff, ECG Facilities Services has expanded their use of the Causeway Vixen PDA module, to include an even greater range of forms. Capable of completely eliminating costly and time-consuming paper-chasing, the mobile data functionality of Causeway Vixen provides ECG’s engineers with access to job, site, plant and history details while on-site, through the use of PDAs. Capable of integrating directly with their Vixen Diary, the PDAs also allow their engineers to deliver all their time sheets, job sheets and industry forms to the office remotely, and captures travel time and time on site to aid job scheduling and costing. The system also allows mobile service staff to take and send photos of work, without needing any printed documentation or emails . Not only does this simplify the return of worked-hours information to speed up invoicing and payroll processes, it also saves an auditable trail of completed forms, to prove compliance with Health and Safety legislation. Already benefitting from all of the above, ECG has now expanded their use of PDAs, to enable their water hygiene engineers to log temperatures and details for Legionella prevention monitoring , disinfection certificates and analysis requests.
