Chartered surveyors and property consultants David Adamson have selected the pre-construction modules from Causeway’s CATO Cost & Programme Management software suite. In introducing the Cost Planning, Bills of Quantity Production and BIM Measure modules, the company is now able to produce project budgets and tender documentation for its clients more quickly and efficiently.

David Adamson has five UK offices as well as international offices in Bahrain, Croatia, Poland and Qatar and operates across seven main divisions. These are Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Agency, Valuation, Building Surveying, Housing Consultancy and CDM Coordination.

The company had previously been using another billing solution but decided to introduce a higher level of functionality. Following a competitive tender exercise, Causeway’s Take-Off and Bills solution was selected as a replacement. At the same time the company has implemented the Cost Planning module and increased its ‘BIM-readiness’ with the Causeway BIM Measure automated measurement module. The latter enables direct measurement from both models and drawings, whether presented in 2D, 3D or BIM format.
