Lend Lease Construction has selected Causeway Tradex to underpin its eCommerce programme and manage the electronic transfer of invoices within their supply chain. The top 100 firm are engaging with Causeway to undertake a supplier roll out programme across approximately 700 supply chain partners, which will eliminate manual processes and paper invoices within the business. 54 of Lend Lease’s suppliers are already using Tradex to send invoices to other major contractors. Now that Lend Lease has a Tradex connection, they can connect to these suppliers immediately, to achieve all the benefits of eInvoicing.

A supplier day will also be hosted by Lend Lease and Causeway, to explain the strategy and clearly communicate the mutual benefits that are available. Bev Dew, Lend Lease Executive General Manager, Finance commented:

“Invoicing electronically using the Causeway Tradex system gives greater visibility of invoices to both customer and supplier and ensures that any errors or delays are eliminated from the process The invoices are immediately available for processing on receipt without the need to be keyed in, and, subject to passing some validation rules, are fed directly into our accounting system with no manual intervention.”

Nigel McKay, Lend Lease Head of Procurement added, “The ability to receive invoices electronically will improve process efficiency, ensure reliability of transaction delivery while reducing costs and improving the quality of information. All of this results in improved supplier relationships that deliver benefits to both Lend Lease and its suppliers.” Lend Lease join a growing number of organisations who have undertaken successful Tradex supplier rollout programmes, including McNicholas, Speedy Hire, Gap Group and Cemex. With over 7,000 firms connecting through Tradex and exchanging over 3,000,000 trading documents per annum, Tradex is now recognised as the industry’s leading electronic document exchange service.
