Causeway’s Scaffold Contractors Accounting system has been at the heart of the finance and project costing system operated by Lyndon Scaffolding Plc. since 2003. Established in 1968, Lyndon Scaffolding Plc. is a national supplier of access and related multi-discipline services to the construction industry. Its clients range from medium sized companies through to tier 1 main contractors and blue chip organisations in the utilities, petrochemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The company prides itself on its professional approach, embracing and exceeding all regulatory requirements, and even writing a few of them along the way. This professionalism is also reflected in the way that company operates its financial processes, under the direction of Finance Director, Keith Addis.

However, when Keith joined the company in 2003 he inherited a mixture of inappropriate software, home grown add-ons and spreadsheets that weren’t able to easily share information with each other. He therefore looked for a single, integrated solution that would capture all of the company’s experience, professionalism and industry knowledge. At the same time it needed to be fully scalable and provide a common reporting structure that would support Lyndon’s customer-facing experts across the company’s nationwide branch network. Having considered a number of solutions, Lyndon selected Causeway Scaffold, which is an all-encompassing ERP system that has been specifically designed for the scaffold industry.

“We were very impressed with Causeway’s industry knowledge and their appetite to combine their knowledge and expertise with our professional vision,” Keith Addis recalled. “The Scaffold Contractors Accounting system provides a world class finance and project costing system fed by operationally correct activities including contract valuations, credit control and collection, payroll timesheet collection and on-time & on-line payments. It is also used for fleet maintenance and management, monitoring fuel consumption and total running costs and, of course, procurement and stock. Crucially, it also gives us total visibility of contract performance and the underlying trends, which gives us a better understanding of our performance and the parameters that affect it,” he added. “We also continue to be impressed with Causeway’s pro-active approach in engaging with us to understand our needs, and exploring new features in the software that may be of value to us,” he concluded.
