Technology company, Yotta has announced it is working in partnership with Tvilight, a market leader in smart city lighting solutions, in a deal set to revolutionise the way local, regional and city authorities manage their assets and infrastructure.

Following the agreement, Tvilight’s CityManager platform, which is designed to optimise management of public assets like streetlights, and streamline asset-related operational activities, is now powered by Alloy, Yotta’s next-generation connected asset management solution.  A cloud-based platform, Alloy helps organisations reduce IT infrastructure and service costs, while delivering optimum levels of availability and support.

Chintan Shah, CEO, Tvilight, says: “We are proud to introduce the CityManager asset management software suite to help local authorities, asset managers, and public lighting operators manage streetlights and other infrastructure assets more efficiently. The suite is supported by Yotta, which has extensive experience in developing asset management solutions and unique expertise in this field. What Yotta offers in addition is a comprehensive intuitive solution that delivers full connectivity of assets and data types. We are looking forward to partnering with them to bring these benefits to customers.”

Nick Smee, CEO, Yotta says: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with Tvilight, to bring Alloy’s new era technology to organisations across the globe. Tvilight’s focus on customer experience excellence matches our own and this partnership is a perfect platform to demonstrate the power of the future of asset management.”

CityManager helps convert traditional Excel-type databases into powerful visual dashboards, where important lighting asset elements are tracked and presented interactively, helping infrastructure operators quickly gain insight into their asset base and related processes. Starting with the logging of faults, the software tracks and oversees repairs; documents maintenance work in near real-time and optimises inspections and budget planning. Moreover, thanks to integrated workflows, it allows different departments and organisations to work together more efficiently.

While excellent for operating both conventional and new connected streetlights, CityManager offers optional modules that allow managing other public assets, such as highways, roadways, street works, waste management and green spaces. Thanks to open standards and open APIs, all information is accessible to third-party smart city dashboards.

Organisations across the UK, and further afield, are increasingly challenged by the complexity of managing, maintaining and operating their street lighting assets. This new partnership, and the solutions it delivers, will help these organisations transform the way they work with streetlights and provide them with a comprehensive picture of their assets, while driving management and maintenance efficiencies.
