The partnership will deliver deep integration between bbits’ Love Clean Streets app and Yotta’s Connected Asset Management platform, Alloy
Royal Leamington Spa – 8th April 2020 – Mobile app and cloud services provider, bbits has announced it is working in partnership with asset management provider, Yotta. The new agreement will enable UK authorities using the two companies’ software to achieve enhanced engagement with their citizens by allowing the public to report on the status of infrastructure assets and environmental services - from potholes to missed waste collections - and receive regular updates on progress.
The agreement delivers rich connectivity between the bbits’ Love Clean Streets app and Yotta’s flagship connected asset management platform, Alloy. This new integration will enable citizens to use the Love Clean Streets app to easily select an asset from Alloy such as a broken streetlight, and within seconds easily make and send an accurate fault report, including images and other data, to the authority. The information is fed directly into Alloy for action by the authority and updates will flow back to the citizen, keeping them informed of progress.
Ian Blackburn, founder and CEO, bbits, said: “Our great relationship with Yotta has enabled us to achieve much deeper integration than we have before with another company’s software. For example, the integration allows us to show assets that are stored in Alloy right on the map in the Love Clean Streets app for a citizen to select. Any existing defects can be shown too and the user can then decide to make an accurate report quickly.
“Updates made by the local authority in Alloy workflows, such as confirming an expected timeframe for the issue to be resolved, can be passed back to the citizen, keeping them informed throughout, which is extremely important for customer satisfaction,” added Blackburn.“It means that our vision of simple, fast reporting of issues by the public, that provide accurate actionable data to the authority, is one step closer to realisation, delivering savings to the authority, and increased satisfaction for residents across the community.”
Hundreds of thousands of citizens have already benefitted from using the Love Clean Streets app from bbits and many Local Authorities are embracing the future of asset management, using the Yotta Alloy platform to seamlessly connect people, systems and assets.
Anique Bravenboer, alliance manager, Yotta, said: “We are delighted that bbits has chosen to work with us as a strategic partner. We are looking forward to the integration of Alloy and Love Clean Streets and based on that, working together to provide local authorities across the UK with key tools that they need to keep the public informed about the status of asset repairs and drive up community engagement.”
