Causeway Technologies are pleased announce that customers of both their cost planning and estimating suites of products can now access the full suite of RICS' online rate databases to support the preparation of cost plans and estimates.
Steve Pittard, Business Advisor with Causeway, commented that this reinforces the drive for more reliable and consistent pricing across all sectors of the industry. With CATO’s QuickEst module already integrated with the BCIS Online service, this new facility further expands subscription access to the complete range of RICS datasets including civils, small and large projects, alterations and refurbishment, maintenance and dilapidations, offering the ability to easily adjust the associated rate detail to reflect the work being priced.
RICS continues to provide the benchmark for cost and pricing data. Updated fortnightly, this widely recognised independent data source brings direct and dynamic access to the online version of the BCIS Price Books.
James Fiske, Global Director and Data and Information Products at RICS, also welcomed this as a significant move to broaden access to the RICS suite of rates databases through one of the UK’s leading construction software vendors. "This is very much seen as a 'win-win' partnership and we look forward to working with Causeway to help our industry achieve improved cost certainty and reliability."
