Hydro International and Causeway are delighted to announce that the design of the Hydro-Brake® Optimum Flow Control is now fully supported within Causeway’s state-of-the-art Flow drainage design software. This will give drainage designers and engineers the best tools available to achieve an optimal design outcome. As such, it is ideal for drainage engineers who wish to achieve a return on investment and/or expand their in-sewer capacity.
The Hydro International developed autonomous Hydro-Brake® Optimum Design Tool is fully integrated within Flow V5.0. This allows designers to seamlessly choose the most optimal Hydro-Brake® Optimum flow control in order to:
- Minimise upstream surface water storage volume
- Make outlet clearances larger to reduce the risk of blockages
- Build in adjustability to adjust the flow rate post-installation
- Design a suitable flow control for installation into existing infrastructure
- Save on operation and maintenance costs
The hydraulic behaviour of the chosen Hydro-Brake® Optimum flow control can then be holistically tested with the entire drainage system using Flow’s cutting-edge 1D dynamic wave routing method. This will empower engineers to fine-tune their designs to reduce development cost and maximise through-life performance. This capability will also allow designers to deliver compliant designs based on UK regulatory requirements.
