East Riding of Yorkshire Council selects Causeway one.network to accelerate D-TRO compliance

Yorkshire authority adopts integrated traffic management solution to improve coordination, reduce admin and enhance public engagement.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) has expanded its use of Causeway solutions by adopting the Causeway one.network Essentials package alongside its existing Causeway ParkMap solution.

By moving to a single supplier for managing TTROs and TROs, the council is reducing supplier complexity and creating a joined-up approach. Additionally, it gives teams a clearer, most consistent way to manage, coordinate and communicate TTROs and TROs across the network.

For the first time, ERYC can now surface permanent TRO data from Causeway ParkMap directly within Causeway one.network’s live map environment. This enhanced visibility makes it easier for teams to coordinate works, avoid conflicts and respond to enquiries without switching between platforms. This also simplifies internal workflows and supports faster, more informed decision-making across teams.

This shift also aligns with the Department of Transport’s digital traffic regulation order (D-TRO) mandate, which aims to standardise how traffic orders are made, stored and shared digitally – improving data quality, visibility and collaboration across the sector. 

With both Causeway one.network and Causeway ParkMap in place, ERYC is putting itself in a strong position to be ready when the mandate rolls around while unlocking longer-term efficiency gains.

With this move, ERYC expects to:

• Improve operational efficiency by reducing the time spent on processing TRO & TTRO
• Save time and costs by consolidating systems
• Surface road network data more effectively for public consultation
