May was a busy month for the highways community–and for Causeway. From launching new functionality in Causeway one.network to exhibiting at Traffex and connecting with local authorities across the UK, we enjoyed some really valuable conversations with our customers and demonstrated real progress on the road to true digital traffic order management.

Launching integrated traffic order management

We kicked things off with a live webinar ‘Causeway for Highways: Introducing integrated traffic order management’ where we showcased how permanent TRO data from Causeway ParkMap and Causeway Traffweb can now be visualised directly within Causeway one.network.

This integration marks a significant milestone in bringing together permanent and temporary traffic orders. By making ALL TYPES of TRO data accessible in one place, we’re helping highways teams reduce duplication, improve public engagement and manage TROs more efficiently.

The webinar felt like a natural lead-in to what followed at Traffex: broader conversations across the sector about how to prepare for D-TRO and move towards fully digital processes.

Taking the spotlight at Traffex

Meanwhile, on the exhibition floor at Traffex, we had the chance to speak with hundreds of highways professionals, policy leaders and technology partners. The hot topic? Preparing for the upcoming D-TRO mandate.

  • Simon Morgan’s talk on road safety and AI sparked rich conversations on how smarter use of data and AI can help identify risks, prevent collisions and support the journey to Vision Zero.
  • Lilian Greenwood MP, Minister for the Future of Roads, visited our stand to learn more about how Causeway one.network is supporting D-TRO compliance. She later confirmed in her keynote:
    • 13,000+ records are already in the D-TRO private beta
    • A public beta is coming soon
    • Lane rental revenue will be reinvested
  • The D-TRO conversation continued with a fireside chat featuring Ian Walker from City of Wolverhampton Council, alongside Eliza Shaw and Simon Morgan. Ian highlighted how Wolverhampton is already aligning teams across temporary and permanent orders. Eliza outlined how insights from the DfT’s private beta are shaping our roadmap to support authorities as standards evolve.
  • In our TRO Zone, visitors got hands-on with the new integration of permanent TRO data from Causeway ParkMap inside Causeway one.network – the same demo we previewed in our webinar just a day earlier. Seeing it live helped spark ideas on how it can streamline day-to-day workflows.

Across both days, one theme came through clearly: this isn’t just about compliance – it’s about making everyday work easier for officers, and clearer for the public.

TTRO Hub: Now live

That momentum carried into June with our latest webinar, where we unveiled the brand-new TTRO Hub in Causeway one.network. The session gave attendees a first look at how the TTRO Hub is designed to take the pain out of managing TTRO while staying D-TRO compliant.

The TTRO Hub is now live and available to all customers on the Essentials package, making it easier than ever to create, manage and communicate temporary orders in one place.

If you couldn’t attend live, the webinar is now available to watch ondemand. You can also request a callback for a personalised demo and explore how they can simplify TTRO management for your team.

Let’s keeping going

From unveiling new features to contributing to national conversations, May was a month of momentum. The integration of TRO data from Causeway ParkMap into Causeway one.network is just one example of how we’re helping local authorities make practical steps towards digital transformation.
