At Causeway, we believe sustainability should be proven, not promised. Our annual carbon reporting gives customers, partners and investors a transparent view of our progress – showing how every commitment is backed by data, verification and action.
Our reports follow the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and are independently assured through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and our verification partner, South Pole. This ensures our data is credible, consistent and aligned with international standards – so the same level of rigour we build into our technology underpins our own operations too.
How we report
Causeway’s carbon reporting process is designed for accuracy and transparency at every stage.
Our FY24 baseline will be published in February 2026, providing a clear reference point for progress against our SBTi-validated pathway.
Boundary definition
Covers all Causeway operations and major supply-chain activities under our operational control.
Data integrity
Using verified activity data across energy, travel, procurement and waste. aligned to the GHG Protocol.
Emission factors
Based on UK Government (DEFRA / BEIS) datasets, updated annually.
Independent verification
Internally reviewed by our Sustainability Steering Committee, partner, South Pole, and independently validated through the SBTi.

From offsetting to net-zero progress
Causeway currently compensates for residual emissions through verified offset projects while continuing to reduce emissions across our operations in line with our SBTi-validated near-term science-based targets.
Our focus is on achieving genuine, measurable reductions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3. We are working towards achieving net-zero operations by 2028 through direct emission reductions, in line with the ambition and principles of the SBTi Net-Zero Standard. Our validated targets currently cover the near-term period to 2032.
