Consulting structural and civil engineering business J.A.Gorman has invested in Causeway’s powerful end-to-end drainage design solution Causeway Flow. The Republic of Ireland-based consultancy wanted to replace its recently sunsetted legacy drainage software with a next-generation solution.

J.A.Gorman, which operates from offices in both Ireland and the UK, has major brands as clients including, Grant Thornton, Applegreen, Texaco, Lidl, Tesco and convenience stores, Centra, Supervalu and Spar. The business had previously used a dongle-based legacy drainage design solution. However, this software model was restrictive as it limited how many engineers could access the software at the same time – costing J.A.Gorman both time and money.
With the announcement that its current drainage design solution was being phased out and replaced, J.A.Gorman decided to look at the alternatives. Following a review of the available options, the business identified both Causeway Flow and another solution as a possible replacement. For them, it was important that the new drainage design software would help the business meet all the latest requirements and streamline how it worked. Causeway Flow’s cloud-based licensing model, software capabilities and the reputation of Causeway as an industry leader were all key factors in the ultimate selection of Flow.
Following a demonstration and trial of Causeway Flow, J.A.Gorman purchased the Enterprise bundle, which includes Civil 3D® integration and allows the delivery of full BIM outputs. Causeway provided full on-boarding and migration support. This includes system implementation, introductory user training sessions and in-depth technical and process support throughout from the Causeway team.
