Elstree-based heavy civils, groundworks and reinforced concrete frame company Flatley Construction has selected the Causeway Donseed biometric system to manage time worked and attendance at its sites across the UK.
Flatley Construction had previously been using a labour management system not specifically designed for the construction industry and therefore limited in its capabilities. The company recognised that the time was now right to upgrade to a biometric-enabled solution that had been designed with construction in mind.
The business is now implementing the Causeway Donseed biometric touchscreen tablet, which incorporates a certified optical fingerprint sensor for accurate recognition. An interactive interface enables users to verify their identity on signing in/out of site and ensures that reliable records are maintained, and staff are paid for actual hours worked.
This factor alone will deliver an attractive return on investment.
Flatley Construction operates across the UK but predominantly in London and the South East. It currently has 14 live construction sites, each with teams of 10-15 operatives on average. The Causeway Donseed biometric tablets have been installed at each site and these are linked to an integrated, cloud-based labour management software solution, giving the company immediate access to accurate project data and live site attendance details in one central cloud location.
This biometric data captures now gives Flatley Construction the ability to manage time, attendance and identity by location or project, keep online records of training certifications and manage site safety within the software platform.
