Last month APSE held their Parks Advisory Group, during which Steve White, Head of Business Development at Yotta presented on the topic of ‘Connected Green Assets’.

During his presentation, Steve explored the topic of how best to address the challenges of data silos by connecting parks and grounds services within the wider organisation, with operatives on the frontline of service delivery, with the public, and with new sources of data such as sensors monitoring usage and condition.

One of the key points that the presentation addressed was how flexible and connected asset management software can play an important role in the delivery of green space and tree management services.

Following the event, Laurence Gale MSC, MBPR, Turf Pro Editor wrote an article. Laurence said about Steve White's presentation: "The fact they are able to interlink with GPS, platforms and mobile phone services ensure they have great flexibility and working abilities to deliver, monitor and record day to day activities undertaken by local authority staff. These systems have certainly enabled different sectors and departments to work more closely, making significant savings in time and better use of resources to deliver a wide range of local authority services."
